Brent Roberson (Lead vocals, low tenor, and Bass)
I was born in Mobile Alabama and lived there until 1962. Upon my parents retirement,
we moved to Fayette County Alabama. I attended and graduated from Hubbertville High School in 1970 and then attended Northwest Alabama Community
College in Hamilton Alabama. Its here where I met my wife, Cheryl York, of Guin. We lived in Hubbertville, and Hamilton before finally
moving to Tupelo in 1977. As a kid I remember singing along with the recordings of my cousin Sonny James, and wanting to someday become
an entertainer. It wasn’t until 2000, after singing with the other Foyer Boyz, that dream became true. I never dreamed in those younger
days, I would have a part in recording an album, but we have been very fortunate and released our second CD in November of 2006. I
have been extremely blessed by being a part of the Foyer Boyz, mostly because of the people in the audiences where we sing. Just to
look at the expressions on the faces of those in the crowd, when we sing a song that has a special
meaning to them, truly blesses me more than we have blessed them. We’ve met some of the most wonderful people during our travels,
and wish to thank them for their encouragement and support. It’s been great to be a part of this group and wish to thank God for his
continual blessings and the opportunity to praise his name in song.
